Advantages
- learning about other businesses and/or organization that you may be applying for a position to work.
- Communication with old friends and family members you have not seen in a long time or just socializing with friends
- You can also get coupons for different businesses that may be advertising a new line of clothing.
- Social bullying
- Sex Offenders
- Everyone knowing your every move and knowing where you are by your post
I know the one thing that I don't like about Facebook, is that when you post a status, it tells where you posted it from. Why does the whole world need to know I just posted from Mountaintop, PA? It definitely doesn't help with people knowing your every move.
ReplyDeleteI agree with angela. Why is it now you make a post it automatically enters where you were when you upload it to facebook. Shuga the thing that we prison staff are passionate about. I mean really hate is the sex offenders, kid touchers, and pretty much all the bad people that want to do harm to another person. Half the stories that we hear about with those kind of cases are from socializing on the computer. I think not only should these offenders spend more time in jail, but they should also limit their uses of being on the internet to avoid more offences. Like some kind of ankle braclet on their computer. What do think Shuga?
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Shug. I agree with all of your advantages and disadvantages. There is another point I would like to make, and that is there is one aspect that can be viewed as an advantage AND a disadvantage... Companies now use social network sites to learn about a new hire, or someone they are considering for an interview. If you post unprofessional words and photos, that can make a person look bad to the potential employer. If you post professional words and decent photos, you make yourself look good to that employer.
ReplyDeleteyour 100 pecent correct about the perverts out there. I wrote the same thing but i didnt no about the employers
